Summer Shorts Series

When warmer weather hits, all you want to do is throw on a pair of shorts. Shorts are actually a very versatile piece. I'll show you how 12 different pairs of shorts can be worn to fit any occasion, whether for a night out, a lazy weekend getaway, or for the work day. Stay tuned as I add sets to this summer series :)
Summer Shorts Series, Part 1: How to Wear Bright Shorts
For a fun, flirty look pair bright, high-waisted shorts with a lace or crochet crop top. Add some cute sandals and a mini cross body bag and let the summer adventures begin!

For an edgier look, try a spiked or embellished muscle tee. Accessorize with lots of black and, you guessed it, spikes! This casual look is great for everyday wear but could also be dressed up for night by adding heels and gold jewelery.

For working girls, try colour blocking. First of all, make sure your shorts are office-appropriate. Shorts should be at least mid-thigh in length, or hit just above the knee. Anything shorter and you'll look unprofessional. Unless your work environment allows creativity, play it safe and go for a longer length short. Pair bright shorts with a bright top (green and coral are great together) but tone the look down with neutral accessories, and a cardi or blazer if your office tends to get chilly. Add some flats and your ready to take on the world :)

Once the weekend finally arrives, or perhaps just a mid-week date night, dress up bright shorts with black lace and patent heels. But just because it's the weekend doesn't mean you can't stay classy. Stash your essentials in an oversized clutch and enjoy your night out.

Hope these outfits gave you an idea of how versatile shorts can be! But most of all remember to have fun and make each look your own.

Also, stay tuned for more sets to come in this Summer Shorts Series!

Trend to Try: Houndstooth!
Keep it classy (and classic) by pairing a houndstooth jacket with black skinny jeans and shiny black heels to match.

For a more fun, flirty look, pair houndstooth shorts with a bustier top and sky-high heels. Try black, white, or add a pop of colour and wear bright neon shoes and accessories.

Lighten up and dress down the popular print by pairing it with spring's hottest colour: mint. This houndstooth skirt is made more casual by pairing it with a loose fitting tee. Add flat boots and your ready to take on the world.

For a casual weekend look pair a houndstooth dress with brown accessories. The belt, bag, and shoes dress down the dress and make it less office-like. Perfect for a Sunday brunch or Saturday spent shopping.

For a more modern, edgy look pair houndstooth printed denim with a loose-fitting sweater and bright red shoes. Add some spiky jewelry and you're set to go!

Hope you enjoyed this set :)

Spring Fashion: Pastels

Spring Fashion: Pastels
Get inspired by spring and mix pastels into your wardrobe.

Play up your mint or seafoam green pieces by building them off of one neutral piece. In this case, the white tee makes the pants, scarf, and flats stand out.

Go monochromatic with a light blue floral dress and equally beautiful light blue bag and dark navy shoes. Blue accessories to match, optional :)

Who says you can't wear colour with prints? Mix a printed floral skirt with a shirt that matches at least one colour of the print. For a fun, flirty look, throw on some sneakers and a cross body bag.

Break the rules! Mix and match your prints. In this case, the ombre top is complemented by the light wash polka dot jeans. Throw on some comfy flat shoes and maybe a light scarf or cardi and your ready for some springtime fun :)

Hope you enjoyed this set!

Winter wear

Winter wear
The end of winter is near but the cold weather hasn't quite disappeared. Stay warm and stylish with these winter outfit ideas :)

Pair a peplum top with coloured jeans and studded black flats. The outfit is simple but also trendy. Girly with an edge.

Who says you can't wear a lace dress during the winter months? Pair a lace dress with thick opaque tights or even leggings and boots. For a more put together look, belt your dress and of course, throw a thick cardi on top.

Reptile print isn't just a spring thing. Wear it all year round with denim, which also gives it a more casual vibe. Throw on some flats you're ready for the day. Comfortable but cute!

Play up the youthful vibe of peter pan collars by pairing it with a high waisted skater skirt. Don't forget tights! An army jacket and combat boots toughen up the sweet look.

Another casual yet comfortable look is the shirtdress. Wear it with thick tights or leggings and cute little ankle booties. Belt optional.

And for those lazy days, pair some printed jeans or leggings with an oversized sweater or cardi. Add a knit scarf and boots and your set to go!

Hope you enjoyed these outfit ideas :) Let me know how you fight the cold weather while also mixing in spring trends.
